Free Friday 13th, THREE BOOKS + another bookshelf.
(sending this early, so you've more time to see it)
I have sent this out early because all the links are valid and should work right now.
This gives you an extra week to claim them.
I am still working on the sendfox thing. It’s a fun new toy, but I don’t really understand it yet. I’ve managed to get emails written and flowcharts built, but the image upload is not working for me, and I wanted to show you these covers.
I’m also learning a lot about Storyorigin. It’s more complicated than Bookfunnel, but there are authors on either platform that aren’t on the other, so I felt I needed to try both.
We’ll see how it goes over the next month or two as I learn the ropes, but for now, Substack is a fine place to share the free fiction.
(If you enjoy this post, please do share it with someone using the buttons at the bottom of this email)
At the end of this email you’ll see a whole bookshelf of free sci-fi and fantasy, but first I have not one, not two, but three author swaps. I put my book on their thing, they put their book on my thing, you get to read all the books for free.
Book 1
Remix, a Night Owls story.
The Moon, 2195. Ethan Keller has a history of jumping first and asking questions later. Tonight is no exception. When his best friend gets a lead on a tech shipment from a dodgy informant, they see a chance to make their dreams a reality. However, the underground criminal network has different plans. Will Ethan’s heist give his friends a boost or trap them instead? For a sci-fi adventure, get a jump start on Remix: A Night Owls Story. Remix is a prequel short story to the award-winning Night Owls Series: A Moon Colony Sci-fi Adventure.
Book 2
Zoe Calloway and the Temporal Tides
You’ve seen this one last week, so it might look familiar.
This one is only free on Kindle Unlimited.
Book 3
Apache Tomahawk
In the pre-dawn silence of the New Mexico desert, Zini, a young Apache girl, awakens to gunshots and discovers her home under attack. Her grandfather, a tribal elder, had previously warned her about a vision involving mystical artifacts—the tomahawk and Seeing Stone—passed down through their lineage from visitors once described as "men from the stars." As the assailant nears the house, Zini recalls her grandfather's teachings and the importance of these relics. Armed with the tomahawk, which possesses extraordinary abilities when wielded by the chosen, she bursts from her room to find her grandfather confronting the intruder. Despite her efforts, her grandfather is killed, and Zini uses the tomahawk to avenge him. Overcome with grief yet fueled by purpose, she flees the scene with the artifacts, determined to protect them as her grandfather instructed. As she drives into the uncertain future, she recalls the lore passed down by her ancestors and realizes that more enemies will come. With the Seeing Stone growing warm in her pocket, she sets her sights on a new life in Vermont, determined to honor her grandfather's legacy and stay true to her warrior lineage, knowing the "bad men" will inevitably return.
BUT THAT’S NOT ALL
I’ve also taken part in this, it’s a whole shelf of free fiction, curated by my writer friend Aaron Frale.
