Free books for 06 June 2025
I recently found out I got into John Coon’s ‘Ripples In Space’ anthology, which I think launches its pre-orders in September 2025. I’m very excited about this, and it comes at a good time for me. I had to cancel the WHO KILLED THE HUMANS? pre-orders because my day job (which I didn’t have when I set up the pre-orders) was burning me out. I’ve since gone part time, which is nice, and I am back on the editing. So you’ll hear about that over at
’s personal newsletter soon.Feels weird speaking in third person, but you’ve got to do these things if you want to run a truly indie publishing company.

I am really glad to be back with enough free time to hunt down and participate in these freebie shelves. I got into Bookfunnel so I could find new readers, but it’s nice to just find sci-fi stories and show them to people, even if they aren’t my stories.
Note: Halfplanet Press will be at the Geek Fayre Manchester (UK) on 21st June at Sachas hotel. I’ll be signing copies of WHO BUILT THE HUMANS and THE COSMONAUT WHO DIED TWICE, as well as doing some little art commissions.
